SALTCCIMA was incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in October 2022 and is the second city chamber in Ebonyi State, South East of Nigeria. Membership is open to all businessmen and women in any part of Nigeria.
The private sector within Ebonyi State is dominated by micro and small enterprises, is growing with mining of solid minerals, farms, hotels, and quarries. Ebonyi has mineral deposits and precious metals that are not fully tapped. The rich cultural diversity, natural tourism sites and nationally recognised dance groups present opportunities for advancing creative economy.
SALTCCIMA has over 50 young members programmed for mentoring by the Chamber. We are working hard to sustain their interest in an economy with few business options, and that is slow in development.
The Government of Ebonyi State was well represented during the investiture of our President in 2023 and made a commitment to support the activities of the Chamber. We have also participated in many engagements between NACCIMA and foreign missions.
SALTCCIMA has established partnerships with some sister chambers, including the Abuja Chamber of Commerce

The rationale for the establishment of Salt City Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (SALTCCIMA) in Ebonyi State.
With respect to the South East, Abia State has Aba and Umuahia Chambers of Commerce; Anambra State has Awka, Nnewi and Onitsha Chambers of Commerce; Enugu State has Enugu, Nsukka and 9th Mile Chambers of Commerce; Imo State has Owerri, Orlu, Nkwerri, and Mbaise Chambers of Commerce; while Ebonyi State has Ebonyi Chamber of Commerce and SALTCCIMA.
